welcomeHistory of Lifeway Church

Lifeway Church, a vibrant, family-oriented Christian church, was founded in 1990 by Dr. Chris A. Esteves. Over the years, its popularity and success in the Inland Empire have been achieved primarily through a practical, gospel-centered ministry, and a service-oriented community outreach.

Lifeway Church held two services: Lifeway Church of Pomona, located at 312 East Tenth Street, Pomona, CA and Lifeway Church of Rancho Cucamonga located at Victoria Groves Elementary School in Rancho Cucamonga. With an active and growing congregation in Rancho Cucamonga, Lifeway Church moved to 9255 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga in order to facilitate this growth.

In July 2000, Lifeway sought to better serve its congregation and the community by expanding to a larger, more permanent site. The five-acre site, located at the southeast comer of Vineyard Avenue and Calle de Prado in Rancho Cucamonga, was purchased in October 2000, and in May 2002, a Conditional Use Permit was issued from the City of Rancho Cucamonga.

In 2005, Lifeway Church of Pomona closed its doors and united the congregation in order to serve its spiritual and temporal needs for years to come.

In 2005, Lifeway Church began building Phase I of its new facility located at 7477 Vineyard Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Lifeway proposes to develop the site to include a worship center, an educational building, offices, a fellowship hall, and gymnasium. The master plan calls for five phases of project development, beginning with the construction of a sanctuary and church administrative offices which was completed in 2006.

Lifeway Church  is rapidly growing in our community. In addition to offering services on Sundays and Wednesdays, we are proud of our community outreach programs for people of all ages such as tutoring, children and youth literacy, storytelling, food assistance, job fairs, health and wellness fairs, building holistic lives and other various human relation programs. Lifeway Church does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities. We currently collaborate with faith based, community and governmental organizations.

Our buildings are available to local and county groups, and we host activities such as Foster Care/Adoption awareness, disaster preparedness, homeless programs, art programs, counseling services, senior citizen gatherings and other various programs within our community. Over the years, we’ve developed a reputation for not only being a religious haven, but also a strong community partner in times of need.

We are currently in the process of constructing our children and youth Education Building. It will be a 17,000 sq ft., two story building that will consist of classrooms, administration offices, a kitchen and a multi-purpose room. The Education Building will continue to help us provide much needed services to individuals right here in our local community, surrounding cities and the counties.

We are calling on all ministry partners, business owners, and entrepreneurs to consider joining us in this endeavor by sponsoring a section of the building or simply giving a monetary gift. All sponsors will be recognized through letters, mentions of gratitude, church website, community events and through our programs as a sustaining factor within our cities and counties and as a 501 (c) 3 organization, we will provide a tax receipt for all donations.
